How much does Zinu Credit Repair actually cost?
We go through the cost with you on the free 10 minute analysis, once we have seen what is actually on your report. What we can tell you up front: there are zero upfront fees, so you are not charged before we begin work, and there is no long term contract, so you can cancel at any time. How long does credit repair really take?
Credit bureaus typically complete an investigation within 30 to 45 days of receiving a dispute. Most clients work with us across several dispute cycles, because items are challenged in rounds rather than all at once. Your timeline depends on how many items are on your report. What kind of items can actually get removed?
We challenge information that is inaccurate, outdated or unverifiable, such as accounts that aren't yours, duplicate entries, incorrect balances, items past the reporting period, or entries a creditor cannot substantiate. Accurate, current and verifiable information cannot be removed from a credit report by anyone. Can't I dispute these items myself for free?
Yes. You have the right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit file yourself, at no cost, by contacting the credit bureaus directly. Clients come to us for the process, the follow through across all three bureaus and the direct creditor interventions, not because self disputing is unavailable to them. Will working with Zinu hurt my credit score?
Disputing an item does not lower your score, and our review does not involve a hard inquiry on your credit file. Scores can move in either direction during the process as your report is updated by the bureaus.Do you guarantee a specific score increase?
No. Zinu Credit Repair does not guarantee specific results, and individual outcomes vary based on your unique credit situation. Any company promising a guaranteed number of points is one you should walk away from.Is credit repair legal?
Yes, though it depends entirely on the method. Challenging items on your credit report that you believe are inaccurate, misleading or unverifiable is lawful and is a right granted to you under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. What is not lawful is attempting to remove accurate information, or creating a new credit identity. We do neither. Can a removed item come back onto my report later?
It is possible. A furnisher can re report an item if they subsequently verify it. We reduce that risk by contesting the procedure the original creditor used to report the account in the first place, rather than simply asking the bureau to look again, and our ongoing monitoring flags it if something you had removed reappears. Can I get my credit report for free?
Yes. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act you are entitled to a free copy of your report from each of the three bureaus, on request, every year. If you do not have copies we will help you obtain them, but you never have to pay us to get them.Do employers look at credit reports?
Sometimes, and only with your written permission. An employer running a check sees a modified version of your report, with account histories, balances and public records, but not your credit score. It is most common in roles involving money or sensitive data.Does paying off a past due account fix my credit?
Only to a limited extent. Paying a collection settles the debt but the record of the delinquency generally remains on your report for its full reporting period. Paying an account does not, on its own, remove it.What is the credit bureau's role in this?
The bureaus, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion, compile and maintain your credit history and produce the reports lenders read. They are also the parties legally obliged to investigate when you dispute something on your file, which is why disputes are filed with them directly. What happens during the free consultation?
It is a free 10 minute credit analysis. A specialist reviews your free credit report summary with you, points out the negative items that may be affecting your score, and explains what could realistically be challenged. There is no cost and no obligation to sign up.
